House FM and House MG merge at the underground level. Surrounded by a series of hidden technical spaces, this level accommodates a private spa with a pool, a hammam and a steam bath (banya), a massage room and two changing rooms, as well as a gym, a kitchen and a cinema room.
Although located in the basement, the pool is flooded with natural light entering through a wide skylight and a large glass wall overlooking a private verdant garden and the lake.
The light reflects off the continuous white microcement surfaces of the walls and floor, interacting with the water of the pool and generating shifting reflections that transform the space into a vibrant, living landscape.
Timber planks of varying widths and thicknesses line the walls, interrupted only by smoked-glass partitions enclosing the steam bath and the hammam. The same planks, this time with a sawn-cut surface, clad the ceiling, concealing the ventilation and lighting systems.
Thanks to a restrained yet rich palette of materials, the swimming pool changes hue throughout the day, responding to sunlight and weather conditions and reinforcing the connection between mind and nature.
The changing rooms are separated for men and women in accordance with Islamic principles. Despite their modest size, these spaces are elevated through the use of refined materials on the walls and floors: oak, green onyx and pink onyx.
The gym, a compact room defined by an irregular system of concrete pillars and overlooking the swimming pool, has been visually enlarged by dematerializing the walls, replacing them with glass partitions and doors, and introducing a syncopated sequence of high embrasures that help absorb the irregularity of the structure.
In the massage and cinema rooms, where windows are absent, refined materials and warm, soft lighting create an atmosphere that is both intimate and quietly luxurious.
