The edifice, a large traditional farmhouse built in the early twentieth century in the heart of the bucolic countryside, was converted in the 1990s into a charming hotel and spa.

The new ownership decided to renew the interiors of the building, starting with the suites, and appointed our firm to develop the design project.

The rooms are characterized by original wooden beams stretching across the ceiling and by brick archways that visually divide the space into two zones. Given the modest size of the rooms, we chose to maintain this spatial distinction while maximizing the available space.

The existing bathroom walls within the suites are replaced with gently smoked ribbed-glass partitions that enclose a toilet and a generous shower enclosure.
A sleek contemporary double washbasin integrated with a large bathtub occupies the centre of one zone, while a queen-size bed paired with a wooden wardrobe with colored mirrored doors defines the second area, creating a resonant contrast with the historic brick walls and wooden beams.

The resulting balance between historic character and contemporary comfort creates within the rooms a unique sense of place, suspended between tradition and modernity — a retreat where guests can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape and experience the authentic atmosphere of this graceful setting.
