Project:
Hotel

Area:

6481 m²

Location:
Ravenna, Italy

Status:

2022 – On going

The edifice, a large private traditional farmer house built in the beginning of 1900, in the heart of bucolic countryside, was converted in the nineties into a charming hotel and spa.

The new ownership decided to renew the interiors of the building starting from their suites and appointed our firm to develop the design project.

The rooms are characterized by original wooden beams stretch overhead across the ceiling and brick archways that visually divide the space in two zones. Due to the modest sizes of the rooms we have chosen to maintain the distinction of two areas maximizing the space.
The walls of the bathroom inside the suits have been demolished and replaced with gentle smoked ribbed glass partitions that delimit a toilet and a generous shower cabin.

A sleek modern double washbasin integrated to a large bathtub is located in the middle of one of the areas, while a queen sizes bed paired with a wooden wardrobe with colored mirror doors is placed in the middle of the second area of the room creating a resonant contrast with the historical brick walls and wooden beams.

The achieved harmony between historic charm and contemporary comfort creates inside the rooms a unique sense of place, suspended between tradition and modernity: a retreat where the guests can genuinely enjoy the surrounding nature’s beauty and experience the authenticity of this graceful location.
